Club Membership Expansion
Mission Statement
The Asheville Running Collective (ARC) is a USATF-certified, post-collegiate racing team comprised of competitive runners living in the mountains of Western North Carolina. In addition to helping its members achieve their individual running goals, the ARC is focused on competing for team championships in relays, cross country, track, and road races; and, regional and national USATF events. By identifying competitive regional runners and providing them structure, benefits and a positive team environment, the ARC hopes to grow the sport of competitive distance running in Western North Carolina and enhance the performance of its members.
EXPANSION
The Asheville Running Collective is working to expand our membership. Anyone can join, regardless of ability or experience. All members pay yearly dues and receive a racing singlet. Those who hit time standards will qualify for incentives such as sponsor discounts, waived/comped race fees, and the opportunity to apply for travel funds. As the club grows we hope to increase the support we can provide.
With increased membership, we will be in a better position to unite runners and racers in Western North Carolina behind our shared mission, pull in more leaders and volunteers for ARC-sponsored events, and have a broader reach in the community. Revenue from membership dues will help fund travel budgets, race fee sponsorships, team gear, and community events.

Collective Action
A larger membership base will allow ARC to expand our reach in the community by hosting more community events, supporting local businesses and organizations, and volunteering at events throughout WNC. The ARC has already been very active in the running community. Let’s do more!
Collective Support
Be part of a team! Support teammates in training, cheer each other on at races, and come together to socialize.
Collective Success
As individual members find success, so does the team as a whole. Play a role in scoring for the club at a team race, represent the Collective in your goal race, or help lift up those in WNC who are taking on big goals.
MEMBERSHIP BEnEFITS
There are no specific standards for club membership. All are welcomed to join.
Upon payment of club dues, all ARC members are entitled to:
Racing jersey
Team racing opportunities in WNC, NC, and nationally
PERFORMANCE Incentives
While there are no specific standards needed to join the club, time standards will be set to motivate members and incentivize high-level performances. Age-graded times will be used at distances from 5k to the marathon, with race results from outside those distances considered on a case-by-case basis. Marks must be attained on a certified course within the last year. All standards will be subject to change annually. Contact us if you’d like to learn more.
