While working on the ARC Blue Ridge Relay 2015 video, we put together a little teaser to give you a taste of life on the road... at least from Brent's (less than positive) view of it.

Better late than never...
Word on the sports memorabilia message boards is that the 2015 Lapp card is coming in highly valued after his heroic 4-run performance last year. Some think it might even reach the fever-pitch value of the hard-to-find Stuart Moran card from the 2008 BRR. Time will tell...

Blue Ridge Relay Roster Reveal - Part 1
This morning, we were cleaning out the attic at the Asheville Running Collective HQ and came across a big box of old stuff - race numbers, cassette tapes, track medals, trading cards, and more.
It can be fun to take a walk down memory lane once in a while… feel the rush of adrenaline as you hold an old race number, wind up the tape on your well-worn copy of Thriller, and sort through those old trading cards to find some of your favorites.
Hmmm… wonder if any of these cards are worth anything?
After sifting through the big pile of cards, we finally found some that must be worth some serious cash (no, not the 1992 Roger Clemens card). These cards make up the first set in the three-set Asheville Running Collective Blue Ridge Relay 2015 series.

With it’s finish located in beautiful downtown Asheville, we consider 208-mile Blue Ridge Relay a “home” race. After months of planning and thousands of miles of training, it comes down to 12 runners (lineup will be announced this week), 2 passenger vans (or 1 van + 1 SUV if Enterprise decides to overbook again), 36 “legs” (routes that vary from 2.6 miles to 10.5 miles), 18,000 feet of elevation gain, 20,000 feet of elevation drop, back country roads, smashed quads, screaming calves, and intense rivalries.
The birth of the ARC dates back to the 2011 BRR, when Frankie Adkins rallied the top racers from around Asheville to win back the title from Knoxville Track & Field Club, who won in 2010 with a 6-man ultra team. The Collective has gone on to win 3 of the last 4 relays, and ignite a fierce rivalry with both KTC and Charlotte Running Club. While KTC is sitting out this year, Charlotte is back for what is sure to be another run for the record books.
